Who are we?

‘What is OCF? Who joins OCF? What do we do there?

OCF stands for Overseas Christian Fellowship and we are affiliated with UniLife of the University of South Australia (UniSA).

We, a group of international students from various campuses of UniSA meet up every Friday, 6.45pm at our UniSA City East campus.

We come together weekly to share and learn about Christ’s love for us, and encourage each other, forming great friendships that will last a lifetime.

Brief History of OCF

It all started in the 1950′s, when there was an influx of international students into Australia and many christian students were meeting independantly in all different states, unaware of each other’s presence. In the year 1959, OCF Australia was officially born in Phillip Island and till this day, it covers most of the states, namely Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Tasmania, and ACT. OCF Australia’s current vision is ‘reach out, build up and send back’. OCF UniSA was established in 1996 and officially affiliated to OCF Australia in the year 1997.

OCF is a unique organization because we are inter-denominational and fully student run. Our weekly meetings consist of journeying through the bible courses, alpha courses, workshops, movie nights, speaker sessions, missions nights, praise and worship night and so on. Besides Friday meetings, we have guys or girls ministries, social gatherings at each other’s houses, outings, short term mission trips and many more.

Above is just a short introduction about us, or rather the tip of the iceberg, so if you would like to know more, kindly drop us a comment, or email us, or personally contact any of us for more information. We would be more than delighted to get to know you!!
